More than 13,000 physicians and researchers attended the 40th ICAAC (Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy), a conference that is considered to be the most important one worldwide in the area of infectious diseases.  There were 283 abstracts (12% of total) about HIV/AIDS and 43 abstracts about hepatitis.  All references listed are from the 40th ICAAC.
