GSK Announces Co-Pay Assistance for Lexiva

Feb 6, 2007

GlaxoSmithKline is pleased to introduce a savings program designed to help improve patients' adherence to their drug regimens. This program helps reduce out-of-pocket prescription costs for individuals beginning treatment with Lexiva, or who are currently on an HIV treatment regimen that includes Lexiva.

Individuals eligible for the program include patients who are paying out-of-pocket costs and whose prescriptions are not covered by Medicaid, Medicare, ADAP or any other Federal or State assistance program. Massachusetts residents are eligible only if their prescription for Lexiva is not covered by any insurance or assistance program.

Patients eligible for the program will receive a Patient Support Card from their healthcare provider along with their prescription for Lexiva. These Patient Support Cards cover out-of-pocket expenses up to $50 for each use and are valid for 24 months following activation. We encourage patients to talk to their doctor about the Patient Support Card if it is determined that Lexiva is the right medication for them as a component of their overall HIV regimen.
