Gilead's 2015 Corporate Contributions in the Chronicle of Philanthropy

  Hello -

In its just-released annual survey of corporate giving, The Chronicle of Philanthropy found that Gilead ranks first in charitable giving and second in total giving (charitable giving + in-kind donations) among the Fortune 150. We're proud to have increased our charitable contributions nearly two-fold since 2014. Last year, Gilead gave nearly $500 million to almost 2,000 grantees who are helping to address unmet needs and lessen the impact of diseases such as HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C.

These grants are made to organizations like yours - patient advocates, nonprofits and healthcare associations that are working to improve the well-being of millions of people around the world. We'd like to thank you for your continued partnership. Your work to improve health access, eliminate the barriers to healthcare encountered by underserved populations, advance education among healthcare professionals and support local communities is the true impact of our corporate giving.

We're always looking for ways to do more. Through our partnerships with grantees, we've been able to directly observe the important work being done on behalf of patient communities and learn more about urgent needs. We invite you to view some of the recent funding opportunity announcements that Gilead has issued, including programs that support HIV cure activities, lessen the impact of HIV on an aging population and improve the diagnoses and care surrounding hepatitis C.

We look forward to continuing our work together,
