Antiretroviral treatment interruptions in HIV clinical trials: A systematic review

from Jules: no mention in this study regarding long term potential affects of CNS viral escape, apparently it remains there is no or little recognition or informed consent regarding the risk for long term viral escape. The long term risk for ATIs is not understood, nor well researched and underestimated. I don't see much interest to address this leaving a situation where potential study participants are not aware of this, researchers ignore this and encouragement to enter these trials to HIV+ who are not very well informed about this long term risk or perhaps other potential long term risks.
