Fibrosis - is treatment not as effective?
 
 
Dear Dr. Chung,
  
 
 
If your ALT's are showing normal, although have had a biopsy showing Fibrosis, is treatment not as effective?
 
  
 
 
 
 
 
  Dr Chung Writes-  
 
 
That was true for Interferon alone, but does not appear to be true for Interferon + ribavirin, so I treat patients with fibrosis and normal ALTs.
