From Jules: OF PARTICULAR note the Limitations slide below says "outcomes do not reflect serious, non-AIDS diagnoses". Which is important because that is a big part of the reason many Guidelines committees are recommending earlier therapy, including considering starting HAART when CD4 are over 500. Here in Vienna the IAS_USA Panel issued their new Guidelines recommending therapy when CD4s are over 500, read reports:
