Mortality benefits of a national program of supported,
active care in the treatment of marginalised people with chronic HCV infection

  Graham R. Foster London, UK

EASL 2025 May 7-10 Amsterdam

oral presentation Saturday.

Dr Foster stressed the importance of peers in this program in convincing incarcerated and affected people, drug users, etc in convincing people to be treated. He also discussed how about 20% could not be reached & treated among this most marginalized population, a group hard to reach & treat. Dr Foster urged how much mortality benefit as provided to the most marginalized population (deprived 1 group), they die early but this can be reduced by a focused peer based comprehensive program such as this is. He emphasized these marginalized populations have higher death rates that are reduced by HCV treatment.
